2011 Summer Boating Fun

We never take the boat out as much as I wish we could. Its crazy how life gets in the way of our recreational time. But, whenever we do go boating, we love it. Our first trip was with the Edwards to Deer Creek. There are not any pictures of Bree because she's prego and just sits on the boat. She's a great flagger though! It was an overcast day but we had pretty good water. All of the kids either skied or wakeboarded. It was so fun watching them try. I can't wait to watch them improve every summer. Our next trip was to Yuba. We spent FIVE days there. We went with Cory's familyand and the Edwards. It was so much fun. Every morning, the water was AWESOME. I'm so glad CJ is always willing to get up at 5:30 am with me to get our good ski time in.

Tatton Family Camp Trip

For Father's Day this year, we went the annual Tatton Family Campout. Went spent 3 days camping up at Aviniquin. My whole family, Joan and Cory and their whole family, my Uncle Mike, My cousin Brian and his family were all there. Grandma and Grandpa Great even came up for a while. Its my favorite when we hang out around the campfire really late. I love to listen to my dad and my Uncle Mike tell their funny stories about growing up together with Uncle Brent. We went on 4-wheeler rides and had huge breakfasts. I hope you had great Father's Day Pops!

Memorial Day Projects

This year on Memorial Day, we went a little crazy. We painted the stucco on the outside of our house and stained our entire fence. It was so nice to get it done!

Cory and Brock did the painting
While Parker and I did the staining.

Herriman Town Days

So, We celebrated Herriman Town Days in June this year with the Beardens and lots of other friends. We started the day by running the 1 mile fun run with the Edwards. We totally rocked it. :) All of us won medals. (rememer: 1 mile) We plan to set our sites a little higher next year and do the 5K. Then we went to the Bearden's for the parade and treats. We spent pretty much the whole day there hung out with good friends, had yummy food, the kids played in the hot tube and we stayed really late for Fireworks. We love the Beardens. Wrestling!!

It's been a while since I've made some time to blog, and I have lots of things to document. So, my goal this week is to catch up on a few things. Starting here: WRESTLING!
Brock and Parker both wrestled this year. We like it. It's pretty layed back. Its a great way to keep in shape and make new friends. I'm not sure if wresting will ever take them any farther than that but as for right now, we like it. They did improve quite a bit this year and learned to be more aggressive. I hope they want to try again next year.
