This has been a big month for Mining Health and Safety Solutions. We have worked hours upon hours to make our chamber a huge success. We have all worked really hard, but I truly believe that this project has my dad's entire heart and soul. All of that work is finally paying off. We tested our Mine Refuge Chamber last week. The test went perfectly. We even made the paper. Take a look. http://www.ecprogress.com/index.php?tier=1&pub=2008-04-15&page=news (its the second article)

Welcome to our world, baby cousin!
What a big day for the Proulx family! Little baby "Ike Porter Wylie" joined our family yesterday at 5:00 pm. We are so happy he is finally here. He is so lucky to be born to such awesome people. I know that Alayna and Jason are going to give their little baby so much love and attention and be great parents together. We cannot wait to watch them grow as a family. Brock and Parker love him already. Parker wanted to hold him the whole time we were at the hospital today and Brock kept kissing him on the head saying "he's so cool". Welcome to our life Ike, we love you!
What the HECK!!!
Okay, so Brock and Parker really wanted mohawks. I don't know what got into me but I said, "Okay". I figured that I might as well do it now while I was not completely against it. It must have just been the mood I was in because, I know that I will probably never be that easy going about their hair again. We did Brock's first. He was so excited. He wanted to go show all the neighbors. He thinks he looks sooooo cool. He told me that he has wanted a mohawk for five years now and that I am the best mom in the world for letting him have one. That alone made it worth it. Parker on the other hand isn't so sure about his. He loved it when we first did it. Then, when were getting him ready for school the next morning, he insisted on wearing a hat. Its sort weird, because somedays he wants to spike it like crazy and show the world and other days, he doesn't want anybody to see it. I didn't think there would be any harm in letting my cute little boys look like punk rockers for a while, but just today, Brock brought home a order form for spring school pictures which will be taken tomorrow. So, Brock will have his pictures taken tomorrow with a mohawk, a black eye and big cut across his cheek. The black eye and cut on his cheek is a whole other post for our family blog. Stay Tuned.

Easter Fun in the Snow!
I have not had this much fun in the snow in a very long time. I have had such a bad attitude about winter this year, but this weekend reminded that it is not ALL bad. Growing up, I spent so much time at the cabin in the winter with my family and really good mountian friends. Some of my favorite memories are there. I use to love to snowmobile. I could keep up with all the boys and most of the men by the time I was 13.
The last couple years we have seen a lot of loss for people that I really care about because of snowmobile accidents. I thought that it had ruined me forever. But, I was wrong. Those people who lost their lives on snowmobiles, died doing something that they truly love. Now, I remember why. We spent Easter weekend at the cabin with my Mom and Dad, Chad and Kim and all the Kids. The riding was better than I ever remember it.
When we were little, my dad was always telling Chad and I to "go outside and play". We must have been brainwashed or something because the entire weeked Chad and I were saying "Let's go outside and play!" We had a blast. We made a slide that went from the cabin all the way down to the road. It was super fast. Parker liked to go down on his belly like a little penguin. Papa went down, and all 4 kids tried to ride on top of him. Josi is the only one that stayed on.
Brock and Josi liked to slide down the Goodsells cabin. We have been doing that for years. Rhylee loved it all. Mom, Kim and I decided to all ride a sled down the "big" hill together. We hit a jump and Kim and I both came home with bruised butts. I think its so great that my mom, Grandma Jen will still go sledding with us. I am so glad that we spent this fun Easter weekend up there together. And yes, the Easter Bunny can hop through 6 feet of snow to find little boys and girls.

Big Awesome news for the Proulxs and Edwards!!
I feel like my life just may be fullfilled. Last weekend, Cory and I along with Bree and Justun bought a boat. I cannot believe it. I have wanted my own boat since I was about 8 years old. It wasn't exactly in our plans right now, but Annette and Mel decided to sell their boat. They gave us a GREAT deal, and we could not be more thankful. Its a great boat and we are adding a ski tower. Sometimes things come along that you just cannot pass up. I love boating because it is
such a fun family activity. I love the way it feels when you are waterskiing and water is hitting your calves and you can feel the bruises forming. I love watching people learn and become better a sport that I enjoy so much. I love that camping and boating can all be done in one weekend. But most of all I love the SUN. This is going to be the best summer of my life. Bree and I knew tuning 30 was going to be awesome!

Happy Birthday Parker T.
Where has the time gone? Our little baby turned 5 on Monday. It seems like he should still be 2 or 3. He is such a fun loving kid. He is as happy as can be. Parker adds so much to our family. He is the one who can make us laugh at any time. He and Brock are best buds. I have no idea what they would do without each other.
His birthday was such a fun day. He asked me when he will get hair under his arms. Sometimes I have to wonder what goes through that little head of his. We had a really fun party at Classic Skating. Parker was spoiled rotten by his family and friends. We played in the jungle gym and on the bouncy houses. We only got 1 bloody nose and 2
teeth knocked out at the party. (no, serious we really did) Parker got to spin a big wheel and try to catch money in a wind tunnel thing. I told Parker that on his birthday, he gets to be the most important person in the whole world. Little does he know, he is the most important person in our world EVERYDAY!
